LifeLong Cutlery for a lifelong love

When we set sail with LifeLong Cutlery in 2014, we were optimistic that our knives would be more than just a product.

We hoped the collection would inspire stronger business relationships, culinary creativity and — perhaps most important — more memories with family. After all, the kitchen is the heart of any home.

So when our HR and accounting manager Kelly said she was ordering a 13-piece set for her parents' 50th wedding anniversary, we knew we had to share their story.

"My parents are wonderful, special people," Kelly says. "From the time I was a girl, I remember eating dinners together as a family.  My folks had a set of bone-handled steak knives they received as a wedding gift, and we used those knives for many meals over the years.  It was the only nice set of steak knives they ever owned."

As Jim and Judy's golden anniversary approached, Kelly and her family knew they needed something meaningful.

"What do you buy for your parents when they have nearly everything they need?" Kelly says. "I immediately thought about a nice set of cutlery. We decided to buy them a 13-piece set of Lifelong Cutlery. It's practical, because they definitely needed something new after 50 years, and it's a beautiful way to give them something special they'll use every day. They'll be reminded of how important they are to our family each time they use the knives."

Kelly and her family took the gift a step further with custom engraving.

"We had the cutlery set engraved with a message that celebrates their 50 wonderful years together. They were so excited when they opened the gift, and immediately started using the cutlery. It was the best gift ever!"

From Jim:
"When Judy and I married in 1965, we received knives as wedding gifts. Some are still in use, although with bent and broken tips. For our 50th wedding anniversary, our kids and grandkids decided that it was time for some new knives. They chose Lifelong Cutlery knives for their exceptional quality. We are pleased that they made that choice and look forward to another 50 years."
