Is It Legal to Mail Magnets?
Yes, you are allowed to ship magnets in the mail within the United States. However, there are some restrictions for air service. To legally mail magnets, they cannot qualify as a hazardous material. This basically means the magnets you mail shouldn’t have the magnetic field strength to cause deviation of aircraft instruments. (Meaning the field strength must be 5.25 mG or less at 15 feet from the surface of the package.)
